Chief Executive Officer of Community Spec, Inc., Ryan Kelly, received the Pacesetter Award from the University of Georgia’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
This award is presented to individuals showcasing outstanding entrepreneurship and effective public relations within the community.
According to the College of Family and Consumer Services Web site, this award is given to an individual who has graduated from the College within the past 10 years and who actively promotes the beliefs and values of the college, whose mission is to advance the well-being of individuals and families, strengthen communities, spread knowledge, provide research-based programs and educate professionals.

Since completing his bachelor’s degree in consumer economics in 1998, Ryan Kelly has used his entrepreneurial skills in both the public and private sectors. As founder and president of Community Spec Inc., Ryan has created a company that provides community development services to public and nonprofit organizations with program management, grant administration and development, technology assessments and community development activities.
Ryan’s success was also highlighted in the Spring edition of FACS Magazine.
