This program provides funding for fixed-route, intercity bus systems (that connect multiple cities) and charter bus services.
According to FEMA, The funding priorities for the 2009 IBSGP reflect the Department’s overall investment strategy, in which two priorities are paramount: risk-based funding and regional security cooperation.
The total funding available for the fiscal year 2009 was $11,658,000. The total funding available for the fiscal year 2010 is $11,520,000. The breakdown is $6,336,000 for Tier 1 (over 250 motorcoaches) and $5,184,000 for Tier II (under 250 motorcoaches)
The deadline is Feb 18, so please contact us now if you believe you qualify for this grant.
It is a requirement that all Intercity Bus Security Grant applicants be registered with Grants.gov. The Grants.gov site will be unavailable February 6 through February 9, 2010. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATIONS DURING THIS TIME.
