RFPs and Grow Reports are means to secure funding for agencies and companies in need.
Request for Proposal (RFP)
An RFP, or Request for Proposal, is an invitation from an agency inviting suppliers or vendors to submit a proposal for services or products.
When a foundation or the government develops a new grant program, they send out a RFPs to organizations that might be qualified to participate.
The RFP lists the specifications of the program and how to apply for the grant.
Through the competitive RFP bidding process, the agency awards the project to the most capable and/or qualified vendor or supplier.
The RFP document includes essential information about an organization, the services and products it needs, specific requirements suppliers must meet to win the award, and often a ranking system for evaluating the proposal response.
Grow Report
A grow report is a snapshot or microcosm of all potential fundraising opportunities for which a company qualifies.
In addition to specifying the particular grant opportunities, it details how these grants will assist a company in meeting its needs.
